The illustrations in this very cool picture book are simply stunning! We loved following the characters on their whirlwind whistle-stop tour around the world - so many fascinating facts about cultures, with craft ideas, simple science experiments you can do at home, and even opportunity to learn new words from other languages. I know it will be revisited time and time again as it's chock-full of brilliant activities and information for kids to hoover up! A fantastic follow-up to the first Arnold
Arnold and Lou�s Around the World Adventure is the second book in the Arnold and Lou series and it is nothing short of BRILLIANT. Author Francesca Watt went above and beyond managing to combine a wide array of academia, from science to language to math and even art/crafting, embodying pure unadulterated entertainment into a fun and fact-filled, interactive story.
Young readers will follow this lovable duo on another traveling adventure as they learn different languages, unique facts and even various science experiments. My daughters and I personally can�t wait to do each activity and experiment in this book. The facts are cleverly laid out in such a way that they are memorable and even entertaining. It is clear that Ms. Watt put a lot of thought into creating this masterpiece and children and adults will undoubtedly love it as a result.
It�s such an amazing addition to Francesca�s �All in a flap� book! But you don�t have to read it to use it. This one is actually a non-fiction book, filled with different facts about countries like France, China, Turkey, India and more! Full of famous landmarks, and stories behind them. There are also some traditional recipes, and my favourite one � ideas for different crafts and activities!
And for a special bonus after each country chapter � there is a mini dictionary with words from all around the world!
It will give you and your child hours of fun. You could do one chapter a day and explore different countries separately.
The illustrations are stunning, Francesca is so talented. I absolutely adore this book and I would highly recommend it.

This is a great addition for your home library and teachers this is a must add to your school library.
This book is such a breath of fresh air! It�s packed full of facts about Egypt, Iceland, France, India and other countries, but it�s also really fun and engaging for young readers. There are activities for every country and beautiful illustrations of the two characters, Arnold and Lou, exploring the world. There are also words in different languages to learn for each country and a whole heap of genuinely interesting facts as well. We�ve read Arnold and Lou�s other adventure too, All in a Flap, which we loved. A really fab book - highly recommended.
